The Village Council.
On 1 April 2017 Tillingham Parish Council resolved to adopt a change of style (name) and became known as Tillingham Village Council. It was considered that this change of style was more modern and would better reflect the role of the Council in the village.
You will find information about the Village Council and what we do by clicking on the menus in the top bar. We hope you will find it interesting and find the information that you require. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Tillingham Village Council usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month in Tillingham Village Hall.

There is a ‘Public Forum’, which is a public question time near the beginning of each meeting. This is an opportunity for residents to ask questions about matters on the agenda. If you have a specific question it would be beneficial to let us know in advance (8 days prior to the meeting) so that we can put it on our agenda if required, or gather the information to provide you with an answer.

The Village of Tillingham is a small village with 1058 inhabitants at the 2011 Census. It is a part of the Dengie Hundred and is located 3 miles from Bradwell on Sea and 8 miles from Burnham on Crouch, within the District of Maldon and in the County of Essex.
Tillingham has a Village Shop and Post Office, two Pubs, a Primary School, a Pre-School, a Village Hall, a Recreation Ground, Public Toilets, two Allotment Sites, a Church, a Sports Pavilion, Sports clubs, and Community Groups. There is a network of well maintained footpaths which meander through surrounding farmland and along the sea wall. The popular ‘St Peters Way’ footpath passes through Tillingham.
